About Don Lewis

Don, also known as Donell, and Donald, was born at home on June 15, 1947 in Houston County, Alabama, just outside the town of Ashford , to parents C.A. Lewis and Louise Holton Lewis. At 6 months of age his family moved 5 miles east of Ashford to the community of Cowarts, Alabama, to a house sitting on the south side of U.S. Highway 84 directly across the highway from the Cowarts Assembly of God Church building. He lived there until he joined the Air Force in June, 1965.

Married Judith Ann McAlister on June 27th, 1970 in Ocala, Florida.

Among his various academic work Donell has an earned JD from California’s Western State University and in the words of friends less modest than he, he is an educator, having served as an administrator and professor at colleges and universities for more than three decades. He has appeared as a guest lecturer at national conferences, at universities and civic organizations. He is an entrepreneur technologist, having held the position as chief technology officer for a college, a university, and a successful internet and online service provider. He is a soldier, a husband, a father, a poet, a novelist, a friend; and above all, a mentor of friends.

Don is the author of "To Feel the Song of Seasons" a book of poetry and pros and yet to be published novels Overton U and Suffolk Systems. tftsos-cover
